Classic work shirt, made from a 12oz dobby loom woven cloth with Sashiko thread stitching. Dating back to the 17th century, Sashiko is a traditional form of Japanese folk embroidery used for both decorative and functional reinforcement of fabrics. A fabric full of character, the warp threads are indigo rope dyed - meaning that the colour will fade with wear and washing - whilst the weft yarns and Sashiko thread are cheese and reactive dyed respectively and won’t fade.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: This shirt runs slightly smaller, we assume that most people will need to order one size larger. Also, the underarms are cut much narrower than usual. If you have particularly muscular arms, the garment will probably not fit.
Please check the measurements carefully before ordering!
Measurements are in centimeters and specific to the product displayed on this page. The best way to determine your size is to measure a similar item that fits you well using the method shown under "How we Measure" and compare with the size chart. Note that items of the same size can vary slightly. If a specific dimension (for example, arm length) is important to you, please ask us to check this by adding a note to your order.
