The 684 Collection

The First Cut Initiated by Iron Heart Germany

When we started thinking about a new fit for Iron Heart Germany, it wasn’t about following a trend. It was about a feeling. We love Iron Heart for what it has always stood for: substance, weight, integrity. Fabrics with character. Denim that doesn’t try to please — it asks to be worn.

But we wanted space. Space to move. A silhouette that reflects how we wear denim today — without losing what makes Iron Heart what it is. That’s how the 684 was born.

The IH-684 marks a first for Iron Heart Germany. Developed in close collaboration with Haraki-San and the Iron Heart Japan team, the 684 is the first cut initiated by Iron Heart Germany to become part of the global Iron Heart lineup.

While the 684 will be integrated internationally in the future, the 16oz selvedge edition presented here remains exclusive to Iron Heart Germany.

This project reflects partnership, trust and a shared vision within the Iron Heart family.

No experiment,
but a permanent addition.

The 684 Cut

Relaxed Straight. Rooted in 634

The 684 is the widest fit Iron Heart has ever produced. It is based on the iconic 634, but with deliberate room through the leg.

It is a true relaxed straight fit: classic rise, room through the thigh, straight leg opening, no taper, and signature tobacco-coloured stitching throughout.

The goal was not to follow trends, but to create a wider proportion that feels natural within the Iron Heart philosophy. Not baggy. Not exaggerated. Not fashion-driven.

Clean lines, a stable stance, and a natural drape define the silhouette. A modern proportion that moves with the body instead of restricting it.

Wider. With intention. The 684 is here to stay.

The 684 Denim

Exclusive 16oz Japanese Selvedge Denim

For this new silhouette, the fabric had to be right.

Haraki-san had just developed a new 16oz vintage-style selvedge denim, woven in Kojima at Takata Orimono on traditional shuttle looms. The fabric is made from Pima cotton ring-spun yarns, resulting in a textured, slightly irregular twill with depth and character.

Like Iron Heart’s 18oz vintage weave, this denim is designed to develop strong vertical tate-ochi fades over time. Because of the relaxed fit, the fades will appear more natural and subtle compared to tighter, heavier denim.

At 16oz, the fabric offers a rare balance: substantial enough for structure and durability, yet versatile enough for year-round wear.

While the 684 cut will be introduced in other fabrics in the future, this specific 16oz selvedge combination remains exclusive to Iron Heart Germany.

The 684 Patch

Tora. A Link between tradition and modernity

Animal motifs have long been part of Iron Heart’s patch tradition: Octopus. Snake. Duck.

For the 684, the idea was clear: a Japanese tiger. In Japanese culture, the Tora symbolizes courage, protection, and inner strength — values deeply aligned with Iron Heart itself.

The tiger was inspired by one of Maria’s tattoos and illustrated by Steve from Iron Heart International. The patch design was created by our dear friend Carsten from Hamburg, founder of creative agency „Mutter“.

It is crafted from a thin leather with a red print — a respectful nod to the classic Levi’s 501 patch design.

The number 684 follows naturally from the 634 foundation on which the cut is based. And it had to be even — for Maria, odd numbers were never an option.

Haraki-San approved. The 684 was born.

For this first edition, the tiger defines the identity of the cut.

COMPLETING THE 684

Every 684 jeans comes in an exclusive 684-Tote Bag.

The 684 is more than a single garment. To complete the collection, we developed two pieces built with the same mindset: durability, texture, and intention.

The 7.5oz Loopwheel T-Shirt with and without pocket

Knitted on traditional loopwheel machines in Japan. Heavyweight. No side seams. Built to age alongside the denim.

The Indigo Bandana

Indigo-dyed fabric with white tiger print. A
subtle extension of the 684 identity.

The 684 collection is not about decoration.
It is about cohesion.
Built for eternity.
